Notifications Are Not Arriving — FamSinyal Support
Short answer: check notification permission for FamSinyal, then any focus or do-not-disturb mode, then battery optimisation. Alerts are the one part of the app that must not be delayed, so it is worth testing them after setup.
Work through these
Notification permission
Confirm FamSinyal is allowed to send notifications on both the parent's and the child's phone. This is the most common cause.
Focus and do-not-disturb
Focus modes on iPhone and do-not-disturb on Android can silence alerts. Allow FamSinyal through, or add it to your allowed apps.
Battery optimisation
On Android, aggressive battery optimisation can delay notification delivery. Exclude FamSinyal on both phones.
Test it
Send a safety check from the parent phone and confirm it arrives. It takes a minute and removes all doubt.
Why we ask you to test: An untested alert path is a promise you find out about at the worst moment. Testing once after setup is the single most valuable minute you can spend in the app.
Do SOS alerts bypass silent mode?
SOS alerts are sent with high priority, but the operating system has the final say — a focus mode configured to block everything will block them too. That is why we recommend allowing FamSinyal explicitly in your focus settings.
