Security and privacy, stated plainly.
A family safety app should be judged as much by what it refuses to collect as by what it shows you.
What we collect
Only what the product genuinely needs to answer its one question.
- Location reports from paired child devices, with their capture time and approximate accuracy.
- Device status — battery level, connection state, and whether location permission is granted.
- Account details — the email address used to sign in, and the family structure it belongs to.
- Alerts — SOS events and safety checks, so they can be shown and resolved.
What we refuse to collect
- Messages, calls, contacts or browsing history — no access is requested.
- Microphone or camera — never.
- Data for advertising — FamSinyal shows no ads and does not sell data.
- Anything at all from an unpaired device.
How long we keep it
Child location history is kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically. This is long enough to answer “where was the phone yesterday afternoon?” and short enough that the app is not building a map of a childhood.
Deleting your account removes your family's data. That route is always available in the app — including without an active subscription.
How the design protects you
- Physical pairing — a device joins only with a one-time code, entered on that device.
- Visible sharing — the child's phone shows that reporting is active.
- No hidden mode — there is nothing to enable that would make FamSinyal invisible.
- No adult monitoring — asymmetric adult tracking is out of scope by design.

Why we say no to hidden modes
Every technical capability that lets a parent hide an app from a child also lets an abusive partner hide it from an adult. There is no version of a hidden mode that is safe for one group and unavailable to the other.
So FamSinyal does not have one. This costs us customers who want covert monitoring, and we consider that an acceptable price.
How long is location history kept?
Thirty days, after which it is deleted automatically. There is no setting that extends this.
How do I delete my account and data?
Account and data deletion is available in the app's settings and remains accessible whether or not you have an active subscription. The account and data deletion page describes what is removed.
Does FamSinyal claim to be GDPR compliant?
We describe what we collect, why, and for how long, and we publish our privacy documentation. We do not make blanket regulatory compliance claims on this page; the binding statements are in the privacy policy and the documents linked from it.
